The Surrender Agenda Shortlisted for the 2025 Ink Book Prize

Well what an email to get yesterday! I clicked it open to find some incredible new. My book, The Surrender Agenda, has been shortlisted for the 2025 Ink Book Prize!

This recognition is such an honour, and I’m still pinching myself that my work has been included among so many amazing self-published authors from the UK and Ireland.

The Ink Book Prize celebrates outstanding self-published books, highlighting voices that might not always be heard through traditional publishing. Being on the 2025 shortlist is a huge moment for me and for The Surrender Agenda, a book that explores connection, resilience, and the art of embracing life’s uncertainties.

Writing this book was a journey of passion, creativity, and determination. Every late-night writing session, every edit, and every moment of doubt felt completely worth it the moment I saw my book on the shortlist. It’s a reminder that stories that come from the heart truly do find their way to readers who connect with them.

I am so grateful to the Ink Book Prize judges for this recognition and to everyone who has supported me along the way—friends, family, readers, and fellow writers. Your encouragement, feedback, and enthusiasm have been invaluable. This shortlist isn’t just my achievement; it’s a celebration of all the people who have been part of this journey.

The winners of the Ink Book Prize 2025 will be announced at the awards ceremony on September 25th, 2025. Until then, I’m soaking up the joy of being shortlisted and celebrating the hard work and dedication that got The Surrender Agenda to this stage.

If you’re interested in discovering amazing self-published books, the full Ink Book Prize 2025 shortlist is available here.

This year’s selection highlights the creativity, talent, and diversity of authors taking the self-publishing path and making a real impact on readers.

Being shortlisted for the Ink Book Prize 2025 is more than recognition, it’s a reminder of why I write: to share stories that connect, inspire, and uplift.

While there is no cure for Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I can still find joy and fun in things that I do. I have to remind myself to do them all very gently.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me, and here’s to storytelling that touches hearts and sparks imagination.

Wish me and all the other short listed writers luck for September!
